| Description: | Brandon Hall School is a college preparatory day and boarding school located on the Chattahoochee River in Sandy Springs, GA. We offer a personalized co-educational curriculum for students in grades 6-12. At Brandon Hall School, you are a member of an educational family that develops and celebrates every child's potential.
We are currently seeking a Science Teacher who can provide exemplary teaching skills in addition to the patience and understanding that is needed for students who sometimes struggle with learning differences. The incumbent would be responsible for teaching Chemistry, Physical Science, and Integrated Science. Our small class sizes make Brandon Hall School a environment where one can truly teach and inspire students to learn. |
| Duties: | Preparing and presenting course instruction to the students which includes reviewing and critiquing the progress of each student, communicating to the appropriate staff members and any concerns and or recommendations as is necessary, adjusting the manner of presentation to meet individual student needs, and managing the classroom environment effectively and appropriately
Conducting a continuous self-critique of their individual teach strategies in order to make any adjustments necessary to ensure that we are meeting the needs of each student. Assistance is available from the Director of Academics
Completing assigned grading and progress reports and additional duties and turning in those assignments on the required date
Actively participate in non-academic activities with students on a daily basis
Interact with students in a professional and appropriate manner including, but not limited to, the use of appropriate professional boundaries
Frequently contribute to the extra and/or co-curricular part of student life
Adhere to the Teacher Performance Appraisal Instrument in each category with at or above standards (TPAI)
Implement and document how technology is infused in their curriculum
Participate in at least one authorized component of professional development

| Qualifications: | Bachelor�s or Master�s degree in related field with qualification to teach that subject area.
Georgia teaching certification is highly recommended and may be necessary.
Ability to be insured and drive company vehicle.
Ability to run, walk, and actively engage in other required physical activities with students.
Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl periodically and as needed. Reach with arms and hands periodically as needed.
Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
